Welcome to the Elegance of Lake Orta

Why Visit Lake Orta Holiday Rental

Nestled in the heart of northern Italy’s Piedmont region, Lake Orta is one of the country’s most enchanting and intimate destinations — a serene alternative to the more frequented Italian lakes. Its timeless beauty, reflective waters, and historic villages create the perfect backdrop for a refined lakeside escape.

Our properties in Lagna, a peaceful hamlet on the lake’s western shore, offer the rare privilege of private lake access, curated amenities, and proximity to the region’s most captivating experiences — from Michelin-starred dining to storybook towns.

Orta San Giulio – Romance and Culture

Wander through cobbled lanes, sun-dappled piazzas, and aristocratic villas in this jewel-like town on the eastern shore. Enjoy lakeside aperitivo in Piazza Motta with views of Isola San Giulio, then climb the Sacro Monte di Orta, a UNESCO World Heritage site of 17th-century chapels nestled in a forested hilltop. Orta is a place of art, history, and soul.

Enjoy an icream at Arte del Gelato, or simply get lost through the picturesque streets of the small town. Hotel San Rocco is another lakefront spot to enjoy an aperitivo.

We love Orta so much that we got married here 50 years ago!

Lagna – Nature, Water, and Quiet Luxury

Our homes are located in Lagna, a small lakeside community known for its calm atmosphere and direct access to the water. Whether you’re paddling a kayak at sunset or enjoying a glass of wine in your private garden, Lagna invites relaxation in its purest form. Ideal for couples or families, it's also a great base to explore the whole lake with the convenient public ferry that stops at a pier, just few meters from the private garden.
